Refreshing, healthy smoothie made with frozen fruit

Servings: 1 large serving

Prep time: 5 minutes

Passive time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

3/4 cup
Favorite frozen fruit*
Try different combinations! e.g. mango-raspberry
1/2 cup
Orange juice
Try other fluids, e.g. milk, soy milk, rice milk
1/2 cup
Plain yogurt
Optional
1 tbsp
Ground flaxseeds*
Optional; try other seeds, e.g. chia, or nuts, e.g. walnuts

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients together using a blender or immersion blender. (You may need to let to fruit defrost for a few minutes in order to blend.)

We like:

  • Raspberry, mango
  • Banana, strawberry
  • Passion fruit, mango, kiwi
  • Date, banana

Definitely try other combinations as well!

Add complementary nutritional value by including greens, e.g. spinach, kale, collard greens, wheat grass, etc.
